Workshop XXXIX: Improved Leadership Capacity through Self-Management

Do you need a 'slumpectomy', increased energy, or an improved, calmer response to aggravating stimuli? Do you want to make sure you move and express yourself in the best manner possible? Are you interested in alleviating current pain and ensuring your body moves in a way that's relaxed and comfortable ... as nature intended it? The Alexander Technique, practiced by athletes, actors, musicians, and Parkinson’s patients, can help.

During this experiential class Robbin Peach and John Baron, teachers of the Alexander Technique, will present ways to deal with psycho / physical tensions that impact our ability to lead effectively.

This workshop will address:

  • Learned habits of reaction to certain triggers and stimuli.

  • Self-management techniques to increased poised presence and reduce vocal tensions in our communications.

  • Ways to improve kinesthetic connections and generate general health and well-being.
