The People Have Spoken. Now What?

Virtual Leadership Breakfast Meeting

Tuesday, December 1st

8-9 AM ET

After a tumultuous year, the voters have finally had their say. But what do the results of our national elections tell us about the people’s desires, the likely direction of key policies, and the strength or vulnerability of our political and governmental institutions?

As he has done around two previous presidential elections, Jim Gomes, MPP/JD '79, will once again share post-election reflections and insights at a Leadership Breakfast meeting.

Jim currently serves as Senior Advisor to the VP of Research at MIT. Prior experience includes being Director of the Mosakowski Institute for Public Enterprise at Clark University, President of the Environmental League of Massachusetts, Massachusetts Undersecretary of Environmental Affairs (under Governor Michael Dukakis), Executive Assistant to Senator John Kerry, and work in numerous political campaigns. He has written frequently on politics and government in the Boston Globe and other publications.
