Dean Doug Elmendorf will discuss how Harvard Kennedy School is addressing today’s challenges and seizing today’s opportunities. His topics will include: concerns and new interests we have heard from students during the pandemic, HKS’s short-term and longer-term responses to the pandemic; HKS’s focus on key public issues of the day, including international conflicts, economic inclusion, struggles over democracy, systemic injustices, and environmental sustainability; HKS’s strategic efforts to advance diversity and inclusion; and HKS’s ongoing efforts to ensure vigorous, constructive discourse.
